Weekly seminar on current trends
Our popular weekly seminar on current trends in nanoscale research continues through its fifth year, included in the campus' graduate curriculum course listings as NSE 298. The student-led organizational committee oversees the speaker invitations, topics covered, and hosting duties. This allows graduate students to gain experience in course administration. It is also a valuable mechanism for the organizers to establish connections with leading researchers throughout the country. Past participants have secured postdoctoral positions in the labs of faculty who served as guest speakers in our seminar series. The addition of biochemistry and bioengineering members to the committee further broadens the topic range of the seminar series.
